As you know, our economic model follows a simple scheme: take, make, dispose. That’s why upcycling is so important, today we have a look into Poland.
Pruszków, Poland – This city is already famous in Poland for its entire museum, Gallery of Steel Figures, that is displaying numerous sculptures made of scrap metal from a local scrapyard.
This obviously wasn’t enough for them so this time, a large group of artists (50 of them) was scrapping it again, and they created luxury car models such as Mercedes-Benz 300SL, Bugatti Veyron, Maserati GranTurismo and Lamborghini.
The steel vehicles are built completely to scale and include functional doors and replica interiors. The Gallery of Steel Figures also has a wide array of imposing Transformers and other pop culture figures from TV and film.
Strangely, there is no Ferrari. A pity, it would have fitted perfectly right next to the SL. Perhaps by the time they get to the second display at the 2017 Dubai Auto Show, a 250 GTO might have popped up.
Attention to detail is stunning; just check out those curves of the Merc, the “engine” of the Bugatti and the Fiat’s cabin and you’ll probably agree one hundred percent.
